Links to several convenience features are located on the title toolbar in the top right corner of the MDaemon Remote Administration (MDRA) web-interface:

Search Settings

This feature is useful for more easily locating any of the many settings and pages within MDaemon. Simply start typing words contained in the setting or page that you are looking for, and links to pages containing those words will be listed below. When you follow a link to a setting, the name of that setting will blink several times with alternating colors to help you locate it on the page.

You@example.com Settings

Click your user name (e.g. frank.thomas) on the title toolbar to open the You@example.com Settings page. This page contains four sections:

Personalize

This section has settings for customizing the appearance of the MDRA web-interface. You have options to switch the interface to Dark Mode, set the Font Size, and choose your preferred Language.

Charts

Use the settings in this section to control which charts you wish to display on the Traffic | Summary and Traffic Mailboxes pages under Reports.

Registered Sign-in Credentials

This area contains the list of your registered credentials for Passwordless Sign-In, which allows you to sign in by using biometrics, USB security keys, authenticator apps, etc, instead of using a password. To add a new sign-in credential:

1.Sign in to MDRA using https:// in the browser rather than http://.

2.Click your user name (e.g. frank.thomas) on the title toolbar.

3.Under Registered Sign-in Credentials, click +New Sign-In Credential.

4.On the Passwordless Sign-In Setup box, select the type of device you wish to use.

5.Enter your Current Password, and click Get Started.

6.Follow the directions that appear for choosing and verifying your device.

7.When finished, an entry will appear in the Registered Sign-in Credentials box for the credential you just added.

Two Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two Factor Authentication (i.e. 2-Step Verification) can make your account more secure by requiring an additional authentication step when signing in to MDRA, such as entering a verification code, authenticating with your fingerprint, using a USB security key, or the like. When using the Google Authenticator app, for example, the verification code constantly changes and is obtained at the time of sign-in from the app installed on your phone or device. This means that even if someone manages to obtain your password they will still not be able to sign in to your account, because they will be unable to get the verification code.

Using Device Authentication

To set up device authentication, such as using a USB security key, a fingerprint reader on your phone or laptop, or the like:

1.Sign in to MDRA using https:// in the browser rather than http://.

2.Click your user name (e.g. frank.thomas) on the title toolbar.

3.Under Two Factor Authentication, click Set up Device Authentication.

4.On the Device Authentication Setup box, select the type of device you wish to use.

5.Enter your Current Password, and click Get Started.

6.Follow the directions that appear for choosing and verifying your device.

7.When finished, an entry will appear in the Registered Two Factor Auth Credentials box above, for the credential you just added.

Using Email Verification

To set up a secondary email address for receiving a verification code (emailed codes normally expire after 10 minutes):

1.Sign in to MDRA using https:// in the browser rather than http://.

2.Click your user name (e.g. frank.thomas) on the title toolbar.

3.Under Two Factor Authentication, enter your Current Password.

4.Under Email Verification, enter a Verification Code Email address (Note: this cannot be your MDaemon account's email address).

5.Enter the same email address again under Confirm Verification Code Email.

6.Click Set up Email Verification.

7.An email containing a verification code will be sent to the email address you provided. Enter the Verification Code, and click Verify Email.

Authenticator App

To set up Two Factor Authentication using the Google Authenticator app:

1.Install the Google Authenticator app, or a Google Authenticator compatible app, on your phone or device.

2.Sign in to MDRA using https:// in the browser rather than http://.

3.Click your user name (e.g. frank.thomas) on the title toolbar.

4.Under Two Factor Authentication, enter your Current Password.

5.Under Authenticator App, click Set up Authenticator App.

6.In your authenticator app, choose Set up account and then Scan a barcode, and scan the barcode on the page.

7.If you cannot scan the barcode, click Show Secret and then enter the secret code and your email address into the app.

8.Enter the Verification Code that appears in your app, and click Verify Pairing.
